Pine Tree Barn will be featured on “That’s Life” with Robin Swoboda of Fox 8 at 10am! We had such a fun time taping the show with Robin and her cameraman Herb, they spent the entire day with us! Dean and the design gurus did a segment on common decorating mistakes and how to overcome them to take your room from drab to fab. Leota shared some scarf tying tips, our Granary restaurant crew shared some great entertaining ideas and recipes, Sally showed how to decorate the live Christmas Tree that Robin chose from our fields, and I shared yummy gifts (for man and beast!) to make in your own kitchen.
Whew....that’s a lot! Tune in, and also check on our web site pinetreebarn.com on Dec. 1st for the recipes, products and tips that we used on the show! Cheers!

Dec 12th is Meet the Artist Saturday!
Meet some of the great OHIO artists that we featured on Robin Swoboda's show "That's Life" and that we carry in our Heritage Loft during our Meet the Artist Saturday. Julie Dawson from Orchard Canyon Heirlooms will be joining us in the loft. The folks at Orchard Canyon Heirlooms keep an American craft alive. They hand bend, solder, and snip tinplate into the highest quality tin cookie cutters and accessories available today. We featured their great Ohio State Cookie Cutters and Dog Bisquit Cutters on Robin’s show, along with functional stoneware by Ohio potter, Jason Bove. Jason will be here with his bread and brie bakers...perfect for making the jeweled brie from the “That’s Life” show! We’ll also have two other favorites, Emily Rock from Cat Lady Dolls and Whimsical Workshop with Bert Neil and Lynn Bresciani. Plus, that day only, we'll have 10% Off items from these four great Ohio Artists! |
Jeweled Brie with Hot Pepper Raspberry Preserves
Here's a sneak peak of one of the recipes we made on Robin's show. A wonderful combination of Brie, Hot Pepper Raspberry Preserves and sliced, toasted nuts.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. Brie, top layer of rind removed
- 1/2 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Hot Pepper Raspberry Preserves
- 1 cup Combination of chopped or sliced toasted nuts, seeds and dried fruits - such as almonds, walnuts, cashews, cranberries, sour cherries, apricots, raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut, etc.
- Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place prepared Brie in a buttered shallow glass or ceramic baking dish. (We used one of our functional stoneware Brie Bakers made by Ohio artist Jason Bove.) Bake until cheese is partially melted, 5-8 minutes.
- Spread Hot Pepper Raspberry Preserves on top of softened Brie and sprinkle with the topping mixture.
- Serve warm with crackers, toasted bread, fresh bread, apple or pear slices.
