I'm getting ready to select paint colors for the interior of my house which has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings. I love color, but I'm not sure where to stop and start it on my walls as I also have a loft area that opens up on to the great room and I want to keep most of the color on the first level. What advice can you give me? ~Deborah from Brecksville
Selecting color for your walls can be a very exciting, and at times a challenging decorating quest for a homeowner to conquer. I'm assuming that your walls are currently painted a light, neutral color and you are hoping to jazz them up with some color. You mentioned that you wish to keep the majority of the color on you first floor and I'm sure I can accomplish this goal; however without seeing your home it is difficult for me to adequately advise you as to where to place color. A photo would be helpful in determining whether you can handle an accent wall or if your entire room should be painted in a rich color. We also would be happy to make a visit to your home in order to find the perfect color and placement for your walls ~

I have had the most difficult time finding an area rug that coordinates nicely with my upholstered pieces in my living room. I have purchased and returned eight rugs so far. Please give me tips on how to correctly select an area rug. ~ Susan from Wooster
Finding the perfect rug for your room can be a very tricky and frustrating experience. It's not uncommon to try out a couple of rugs before finding that perfect one. When shopping for your rug make sure to have fabric sample and paint colors from the room it will be going in. Read more of PTB Designer Jara Gray's Answer.
