The Farms at Pine Tree Barn

With 100 acres and some 75,000 trees, Pine Tree is home to one of Ohio’s oldest and largest Christmas tree farms. For nearly 60 years, Pine Tree has offered a wide variety of tree species for both Christmas and landscaping.

Christmastime is a special time at Pine Tree.  We offer Two Locations, for cut-your-own (choose-and-cut) or you can select your family's perfect tree from trees cut fresh daily and standing in the Tree Barn. Choose from some of Ohio's finest Fraser Fir, Blue Spruce, Canaan Fir,  Norway Spruce and White Pine. Have a larger home, or tall ceilings? We specialize in large trees, too - 10', 12', 16', or taller!  Check out our Tips for Choosing the Perfect Tree.   We also offer beautiful pine roping, garland, wreaths, swags and boughs so you can have that fresh Christmas smell throughout your home.  We have great tree stands, too, that make putting up the tree a breeze.

Pine Tree is the place for a complete family experience. On weekends Thanksgiving to Mid-December, ride to the fields on horse-drawn wagons, or the Pine Tree Express caboose - no charge! We supply the maps, saws and tree carts  - the rest is up to you! And as always, there is no charge for shaking and baling your tree. Need something for your tree? We sell the best tree stands available, as well as specialty wreaths, roping, swags and garlands - hand made here in "The Village"  You will find everything you need to make a real Christmas for your family.   We have two locations to serve you, depending on your needs. Once you've got your tree home, check out this Guide for Caring for Your Tree.

After your outing, warm up in our newly remodeled "Village" (main location only) where you can relax and enjoy a hot beverage and light lunch.  Or, if you prefer, enjoy a gourmet lunch in The Granary Restaurant in the Pine Tree Barn main building. Afterward, browse the 25,000 square foot showroom with some of the most beautiful Christmas decorations in Ohio, and beyond.

Looking for landscape trees? We offer potted and balled/burlapped trees at grower-direct prices.  The best time to plant is Spring.  Winter is a great time to plot and plan. Are you a landscaper? We are able to fill large orders and happy to work with you. Please call Roger at 330-317-0567 for information.

We invite you to explore our website for answers to your questions. If there's something we didn't think of, please feel free to call us. And we look forward to seeing you soon!

Hours, Tips, Suggestions and a Few Pesky Rules...

  • The "Main" Christmas Tree Farm (Shreve Road) is open 7 days a week, excluding Thanksgiving. (NOTE: The Valley Road farm is open weekends only thru the middle of December ONLY)
  • Choose-and-cut hours: 9am until dusk. (Unfortunately, insurance prohibits anyone in the fields after dark. If you plan on choose-and-cut tree, please arrive before 4:30 to allow time to cut your tree before dark).
  • We have bowsaws and tree carts available on a first come, first-served basis. You are welcome to bring your own hand saws. But no chain saws, please.
  • Pricing: We individually price our trees according to species, height and quality. In general, an average for a 6-7 ft Christmas tree is about $65. As a rule of thumb, you can add about $10 per additional foot of height. NOTE: Each year we have select fields with specially priced trees - with pricing from $20!
  • We have twine available for tying trees to your roof. But insurance prohibits us from doing it for you. (Don't be a rookie: Tie the tree with the stump facing forward!) TIP: Those nylon strap luggage tie downs are great for securing trees to roof racks. They're inexpensive and available at most hardware stores (and you'll use them for things besides Christmas trees. Trust me.)
  • Please do not drive your cars into the fields.
  • Dogs must be on leashes at all times, please.
  • Please do not "ride" the red Christmas tree carts. It is not safe, and will damage the carts.
  • If the lakes are frozen, please do not venture out onto the ice. It is not safe.
  • For additional info and directions please call the farm directly at 330-317-0567 or 330-466-1755!
