Great News! We're Opening!

May 8, 2020

Dear Pine Tree Customers,

Exciting News! Per Gov. DeWine's recent announcement, Pine Tree Barn will reopen as follows:

  • Furniture, Gift Shops and Boutique will reopen Tuesday May 12th!
  • The Granary Restaurant will reopen May 21st! (NOTE: The Gov. announcement was sudden. So, as we ramp up, our menu will feature "Best of Pine Tree" favorites. Also, since we are required to limit seating in the restaurant, it would be a really good idea to call ahead for a reservation)

"Making lemonade out of lemons", we stayed busy during the closure to do a lot of projects. Painting, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, floor refinishing, and...scrubbing, scrubbing and more scrubbing. The entire building - including the kitchen -  has been scoured from top to bottom!

Using rules and guidelines from the Governor's office, we have established a strict plan for how we will operate going forward. Some of these rules and practices will be visible, and some will be "behind the scenes". Many of these things we have been doing for decades. Others are new.

So, beginning May 12 and until directed otherwise,

  • We will require face coverings for all employees.
  • Every day, before entering the building, staff will complete health assessments of employees to determine if they should work, including using no-touch forehead thermometers.
  • We will ensure staff practice social distancing and good hygiene at all times including regular hand washing and/or sanitizing.
  • We will clean and sanitize the building throughout the day and at the close of business, including (but not limited to) bathrooms, doorknobs, handrails, table tops and any other high touch surfaces.
  • We will wipe down surfaces after every customer interaction at our front desk and at the design desks.
  • We will ensure that sanitizing materials (wipes or gel) are available throughout the building.
  • We will limit capacity to meet social distancing guidelines.
  • We will encourage customers to wear face coverings and use hand sanitizers while in our store.

We recognize that these measures might take some getting used to.  But we believe these are the best ways to protect our customers and staff.

We're soooo excited to see all your smiling faces again.  You might be interested to know that even though the front door has been closed - shipments of new merchandise continued to arrive at the back door! Beautiful new furniture, gifts and acccessories. The showroom is a wonderland of goodies, waiting for you to explore.

Can't wait to see you!
